Multi Specialized Health Camp (18.06.11)

SVCT organized a general health Camp in association with Bhartiya Ekta Vikas Manch on 18th June 2011 at Municipal Corporation Primary School. The Camp was scheduled from 10:00am to 2:00am but people continued to come till 2:30. There were 11 volunteers who participated in this Camp. There were 177 patients who were diagnosed by the following doctors:

  • Dr. Naveen Tyagi & Dr. Abhilash : Allopathy
  • Dr. Simran Sawhney : Dentist
  • Dr. Manju Aggarwal : Naturopathy & Reflexology
  • Dr. M.C.Verma : Ayurveda
  • Dr. Om Pal : Magnetotheropathy
  • Dr. Vikas Sharma : Naturopathy & Yoga

The volunteers were making the people aware about different types of cancers, their causes and ways to prevent them by personally interacting with them. Everybody was delighted to see the success of the Camp and is expecting more of such Camps to be organized in future.

Medical Health Camp (11.06.11)

A general health Camp was organized by SVCT in collaboration with Shyam Pushtak Bhandar on 11th June at Shiv Mandir D Block, Sanjay Market Mangolpuri, New Delhi- 83. The Camp was conducted from 10 a.m. to 2:30 pm. There were eight interns volunteering in the Camp. There were three doctors who were treating the patients - Dr. Naveen Tyagi (surgeon), Dr.Abhilash (physician) and Dr. Simran Sawhney(dentist). 284 patients visited the health Camp and were given proper guidance and medicines. Two patients were found suffering from oral cancer and they were referred to nearest government hospital for further treatment. All the interns were making the public aware of various types of cancer, its causes and the preventive methods. Mrs. Shakti Rani Sharma, trustee of SVCT, was also present over there. She appreciated the efforts done by the team members and was very happy to see the success of our Camp. The Camp was successfully completed and people appreciated the efforts done by SVCT in executing the Camp.

Medical Health Check up Camp (04.06.11)

A general Health Camp was organized with the help of Backward Patron Society & National Backward Christian Trust on 4th June 2011 at Palam Extension (near Ramphal Chowk) from 10 am to 2.00 pm. Two doctors Dr. Naveen Tyagi & Dr.Abhilash) screened 107 OPD and medicines were also given to patients. Six interns Tapasya, Satish, Sunil, Rachel, Lalit and Syed Umair (for internship trainees) came from different parts of India and helped in smooth running of Camp. A small Anti-Tobacco exhibition was displayed. The trainees have a keen interest in promoting the cause and they have done a good job in convincing people to stop consuming tobacco. People appreciated the good effort done by SVCT and are expecting more Camps in the area.

Survey of inmates’ house

A household survey was done on 1st of June near sector-20, Rohini. Apart from the field organizer four trainees (Prateek, Rachel, Lalit and Sunil Gupta) were the part of the survey conducted. Trainees have gained knowledge about how survey should be conducted under the human touch programme of SVCT.

Internship training

12 students came from different part of country for their social summer training on 30th of May 2011. Students were presented summer internship letter, and they also get a kit. All were welcomed by Ms. SHAKTI RANI and Mr. KARTIKAY SHARMA trustees.

Medical Health Check up Camp (28.05.11)

A general Health Camp was organized with the help of Prithvi Singh Tyagi Memorial Trust, on 28 May 2011 at Village Holambi Kalan, Near Alipur, from 10 am to 2.00 pm. Two doctor's (Dr.Naveen Tyagi & Dr.Abhilash ) screened 180 OPD and medicines were also given to the patients. Two interns Tapasya & Mr.Satish (for internship trainees) came from Gwalior & Noida respectively and helped in the smooth running of the Camp.

Medical Health Check up Camp (21.05.11)

A general Health Camp was organized with the help of Mr.Hem Raj Garg of Navyuvak Sangarsh Welfare Association , at Garg Properties , C Block Vijaty Vihar, Sector - 4, Rohini, Delhi on 21 May 2011, from 10 am to 2.00 pm. Two doctors (Dr.Naveen Tyagi & Dr.Abhilash) screened 201 OPD and medicines were also given to the patients. Three interns

(for internship trainees) came from different parts of the country and helped in the smooth running of the Camp. A small Anti-Tobacco exhibition was displayed. Everyone was expecting that people may not turn up due to bad weather condition, but large number of people came. Everyone appreciated the good effort done by SVCT. & expect more Camps in the area.

A general Health Camp was organized with the help of Mr.S.Samuel of Backward Patron Society (Regd) for jhuggi Jhopri , Indira Camp No. 3 & 5, at Dushera Ground, D & F Block, Vikas Puri, New Delhi on 14 May from 10 am to 2.00 pm. Apart from Allopathic SVCT introduced Ayurvedic, Naturopathic, Homeopathic, Magnetotheropy, Acupuncture & Acupressure system . The following doctors screened 150 OPD.

General Health Check up Camp (07.05. 2011 )

A general Health Camp was organized with the help of Mr.S.Samuel of Backward Patron Society (Regd) and Jhuggi Jhopri Ekta Sudhar Samiti, at Indira Camp No. 2, J Block, Vikas Puri, New Delhi on 23.04.11 ,from 10 am to 2.00 pm. Two doctors (Dr.Naveen Tyagi & Dr.Abhilash ) screened 206 OPD and medicines were also given to patients. Mrs. Amarjeet Kaur,Lalit & Arvind worked in the Camp as Social Worker, Jhuggi Pradhan appreciated the activity done by SVCT. Mr.Gurneet Bhandari of Self Help Project for the Dalit Women was helping the patients who came for treatment.

General Health Check up Camp (30.04.2011)

A General Health Camp was with the help of Mr.Gurneet Bhandari of Self Help Project for the Dalit Women at Jhuggi Camp, (Railway side) Peeragarhi, New Delhi on 30.04.2011 , from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm. The

Doctors who offered their services (Dr.Naveen Tyagi & Dr.Abhilash ) screened 120 OPD and medicines were also provided to patients. Mr.S.Samuel along with his team members was also present there to help the patients. Patients were less in the Camp due to fire in one of shoe factory nearby the Campsite.

General Health Check up Camp (23.04.2011)

A general Health Camp was organized with the help of Mr.S.Sammuel of Backward Patron Society (Regd) at Baba Ramdev Mandir complex, B-Block, J.J.Colony, Uttam Nagar, (Hastsal Road) New Delhi on 23.04.11 ,from 10 am to 2.00 pm. Two doctors (Dr.Naveen Tyagi & Dr.Abhilash ) screened 206 OPD and medicines were also provided to patients.This was the first ever organized Camp in the area by any NGO. Mr.Atul and some volunteers who came from Backward Patron Society (Regd) worked & helped patients by showing them anti tobacco exhibition.

Educational material distribution in JNJ (slum area) colony (21.04.2011)

An educational program was launched by SVCT, in which we oriented small slum children on the benefits of education in modern era. And how they should get best out of it, so we, SVCT distributed Notebooks and other useful stationary items to around 35 school going children, who were living in Jhugis situated near Tihar jail.

Educational Material Distribution Function (09.04.2011)

A small function was organized in SVCT office at Janakpuri, on 9th April 2011 from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. About 90 children who belonged to Tihar inmates along with their family attended the Camp. Mrs.Shakti Rani Sharma, trustee distributed School Bags, Note – Books & stationery items( like Pencil, rubber & Foot rule) etc to all these children. Apart of these course study books, School dresses (included School Shoes, socks,tie , belt ) were also provided to all convicts children, whom SVCT had adopted. School Fees is also paid by SVCT. SVCT also arranged for short classes in good behavior and Hygiene for them. Students of Lady Irwin Collage (Delhi University) played a useful role in the function. Separate non formal class on Breast Cancer, awareness program was also arranged on this occasion. Dr. (Mrs.) Vandana Mehta, gave some useful tips for better health (awareness). Mrs. Shakti Rani assured children that SVCT will help to complete their education.

Heart, Cancer & Respiratory Camp (27.03.2011)

A Camp on Heart, Cancer & Respiratory was organized in association of Metro Heart & Cancer Institute at Gate No.2, Pocket C, Mayur Vihar Phase - 2, Delhi, with the help of Resident Welfare Society. Large number of patients from different areas came to the Camp. Mr. Anil Kumar Choudary, MLA (& President DPYC) inaugurated the Camp & appreciated the activity. Mr.Davendra Kumar, councilor MCD, also visited and was impressed by the arrangement of the Camp and requested SVCT to hold more Camps in the area. On our special request Mr. Niloy Mitra Chief coordinator, Metro Hospital sent special team (ECG, Echo, PFT & PFM) for the Camp. Total OPD was 202, (Heart- 150, Cancer - 60, Respiratory - 55.) the following tests were done (RBS - 160,ECG - 110, PFT (Pulmonary function test - 38 ) PFM ( Peak flow Meter) - 30 & ECHO - 45 ).Thanks to Mr.S.K.Choudary, Mr.Vijay Sharma, Mr.K.P.Varghees & Mr.V.Kukreja of RWS, who helped in smooth running of the Camp. Mr.Anil Grover, President, on behalf of RWS thanked SVCT for holding the Camp. Mr.Gaurav and his team (4) (Jaypee Business School, Noida) worked as social Volunteer.

Breast Cancer (Awareness) Camp (26.03.2011)

A Breast Cancer (Awareness & Detection) Camp was organized at Church (Associate Bishop Commissary, Evangelical Church of India, at Janakpuri. In the Camp two separate portions were made, in one a small & informatics exhibition was displayed for people to know about the bad effects of tobacco & how cancer enters into human beings. Secondly a small session was also arranged in which Power Point Slide was shown for Self Breast Examination. Patients felt very happy by the arrangement done by SVCT. Mrs.Anthoni, wife of Hon'ble Defence Minister visited the Camp and she was very much impressed by the activities done by SVCT. Volunteers who came also helped. 49 OPD cases were screened and 17 X-Ray Mammography were done. The trustees of SVCT were also present at all the time.

Health Check up Camp (18.03.2011)

A general Health Camp was organized with the help of Backward Patron Society & Aman National Organisation at Om Vihar, Phase V , near Madina Masjid, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi from 11.00 am to 3.00pm. Two doctors screened 130 OPD patients and provided medicines to all. Volunteers from Backward Patron society and 5 students (lead by


Ms.Rachna) of Lady Irwin college (DU) helped in smooth running of the Camp. Thanks to Mr.Sami Ahmed Rizvi to make the Camp a success.

Health Check up Camp (12.03.2011)

A general Health Camp was organized with the help of Mr.Bablu Verma of Radhika Jewellers,Avantika, Sec-1,Rohini,New Delhi at Mahadev Chowk, from 11.00 am to 3.00. Two doctors screened 197 OPD and medicines were also provided to patients. This was the first ever Camp organized in the area, so residents requested to hold such Camps in the future also. Two volunteers came from Ramjas College (Delhi University) for social work & helped patients and showed them the anti tobacco exhibition.

Health Camp, at Shiv Vihar, (05.03.2011)

A general health check up Camp was organized with the help of Ideal Radian Public School. Dr.Jitendra of ESI Hospital & Dr.Abhilash of Sunrise Hospital, Gurgaon, screened 319 OPD and provided essential medicines. Mr.ChandarKant , Director Ideal Radian Public School thanked SVCT for this Camp.

Non-Formal Education Camp & Breast Cancer Awareness Camp (04.03.2011)

Under social internship programme of Lady Irwin Collage of Delhi University, 5 students came for the same. A social work programme was organized with the help of Mr.Gurneet Bhandari of Self Help Project for Dalit Women at Peera Garhi Jhuggi Complex on 4 March 2011, at 2.00pm, where 5 students of Lady Irwin College came and met jhuggi cluster children. They talked on good behavior, cleanliness drive & tried to play motivational games, which can be helpful for the mental development of child.

Later a meeting was also organized for ladies, about 20 ladies participated and messages regarding cleanliness, hygiene and Breast Cancer were given to them and also how to detect the cancer on their own by Breast Self Examination.

Participated in Annual Fest At J.P.Business School, Noida (01-03-2011)

Mr.Gaurav Passy represented SVCT at the fest. He arranged 11 Volunteers of M.B.A from Jaypee Business School, Noida for the stall.

An approximate of 5000 students visited this stall. Many students showed their interest to work with SVCT as volunteer or for internship.8 students came from J.P. Business School for their Social Internship Program.

HEALTH CAMP ( 26-02-2011 )

A Health Camp was organized in association with the help of Backward Patron Society on 26th February 2011 at Tilak Vihar, New Delhi. 120 O.P.Ds were conducted. Volunteers also worked & helped. People appreciated this Camp. Mr. S. Samuals (President) of Backward Patron Society thanked SVCT for this noble cause.

Non-Formal Education Camp ( 23-02-2011 )

A Camp was organised on 23rd february 2011 at PeeraGarhi Jhuggi Camp (The Slum Basti). Here street children meeting was organised for Non-Formal Education in PeeraGarhi (Slum Basti). 30 students participated in this Camp. It was a successful attempt by SVCT. Thanks to Mr.Gurneet Bhandari of Self Help Project for Dalit Women for organizing this event.

HEALTH CAMP ( 19-02-2011 )

A Health Camp was organised with the help of Mr.Gurneet Bhandari of Self Help Project For the Dalit Women on 19th February 2011 at Peera Garhi Jhuggi Camp. 220 O.P.Ds were conducted by Dr. Naveen of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Dr.Abhilash of Sunrise Hospital, Gurgaon, . The Camp was successfully completed and people appreciated the efforts done by SVCT in this Camp.

HEART CHECK-UP CAMP ( 16-02-2011)

A Heart Camp was organized with the Help of Mr.C.K.Pandy Chief Manager of Allahabad Bank on 16th February 2011 at Allahabad Bank complex, Janakpuri, New Delhi. 102 O.P.Ds were conducted (45 ECG & 65 random sugar Test).26 patients were referred for Echo test. This Camp was appreciated & visited by Mr.Vipul Singla Zonal Head & Mr. M.C.Singal (A.G.M) Allahabad Bank, Delhi.

Participation in Annual Fest (Tempest) At Miranda House College, Delhi University (09 -02-11 to 11-02-11) Large no. of students who came from different colleges were shown their interest to work with SVCT as Volunteer or for social internship.

HEALTH CAMP(05-02-2011)

A Camp was organised on 5th february 2011 at Shiv Mandir, Sangam Vihar Old Kakrola Road, New Delhi from 11a.m. to 3p.m. with the help of Dr. U.P. Singh(Roshan Garden).245 O.P.Ds were conducted. People appreciated the efforts done by SVCT.

HEALTH CAMP (01 & 04-02-2011)

A Camp was organised on 1st & 4th February 2011 at MCD Primary School, Janakpuri C-4 Block, New Delhi from 10a.m. to 1p.m. with the help of Mata Chaudhary Heera Devi CharitableTrust & Geeta Mandir Trust, C-2,Janakpuri, New Delhi. Mr. Prithvi Raj Sahni, Mayor Inaugurated the Camp. 508 O.P.Ds were conducted which included children & School Staff & some medicines were also provided to all children. Staff was happy & thanked SVCT for the event.

HEART CHECK UP CAMP(30-01-2011)

A free heart check up Camp was organised on 30 January 2011 at Shree Sanatan Dharam Mandir Sabha D-Block, Janakpuri, New Delhi from 11a.m. to 3p.m. in association with Metro Hospital and Cancer Institute, Preet Vihar,Delhi.A doctor (cardiology with Dietician ) screened 89 O.P.D in which 75 E.C.Gs, 75 R.B.S(Sugar Test) were done, and 26 Echo Test were screened. Mr.Deepak Wadhera & Mrs. Sharma (President) appreciated the effort.

HEALTH CAMP (29-01-2011)

A general health Camp was organised on 29th January 2011 at Shiv Mandir, Ranaji Enclave, Najafgarh Road, New Delhi from 11a.m. to 3p.m. with the help of Mr. Bhola Nath and Mrs. Suman Taneja. 220 O.P.D's were screened. Efforts of SVCT were appreciated by everyone.

BREAST CANCER CAMP (24-01-2011)

A Camp was organised on 24th January 2011 at Gita Mandir Complex, C-2 Block, Janakpuri, New Delhi from 10a.m. to 3 p.m.with the help of ROKO Cancer Charitable Trust. 46 ladies attended this Camp. All were given useful information regarding the effects of breast cancer. 27 Mammography were conducted. Mr. S.K. Singhal General Society of Geeta Mandir Trust thanked SVCT for this Noble Cause.

Drawing Competition (23-01-2011)

A drawing competion was organized for different age groups (i.e. 5- 7 years,8-10 years and 11-12 years) at Shree Ram Vatika Park, Mayur Vihar-2, Delhi with the help of Resident Welfare Society(Regd) from 10a.m. to 1p.m. 89 children from different age groups participated. Different topic was given to all the participants. The imagination and thinking of children towards their subject came out by this event.

Later the Prizes were distributed by area MLA (& President DPYC) Ch. Anil Kumar & Councilor Mr. Devendar Kumar to best two of each group. On 26 Jan, on the Occasion of Republic Day function Mr. Anil Grover (President of Resident Welfare Society) thanked SVCT for this event. Mementos were also given to event coordinator Mrs.Manju Badoni & Mrs.Manju Chugani. Area MLA & Councilor were also honored by SVCT.

Health Camp (22-01-2011)

A Camp was organised on 22nd january 2011 in association with Jimedar Nagrik Trust at Bharat Jodo Complex, 109 Tara Nagar(Near Kakrola Dairy), New Delhi from 11p.m. to 3p.m. For vide publicity Bharat Jodo used their vehicles with mike on it. Mr. Satnam Singh of Bharat Jodo helped to make it a success. Dr.Jitendra from E.S.I. Hospital and Dr.Abhilash from Sunrise Hospital conducted 244 OPD & medicines were given to all patients.

Health Camp (15-01-2011)

A Camp was organised on 15th january 2011 at Shiv Mandir, Shyam Vihar(Kakrola area) near Dwarka Sector-14, New Delhi from 11p.m. to 3p.m. One doctor (Dr.Rajiv) from E.S.I. & one (Dr.abhilash) from Sunrise Hospital, Gurgaon screened 125 OPDs and medicines were also given. Mr. Nawab Singh, Mr. Rajinder Chokker and Mr. Ashwani Ranga helped to make it successful.

Health Camp at Allahabad Bank (26-12-2010)

A Camp was organised with the help of Aster Eye Care at Allahabad Bank premises in Lajpat Nagar from 11a.m. to 3p.m. In this Camp 41 O.P.Ds were conducted. A small informatics exhibition on cancer and tobacco was also displayed. People and bank staff appreciated the efforts done by SVCT.

Health Camp At Vikas Nagar (25-12-2010)

A Camp was organised on 25th December 2010 at Colnel Bhatia Road, Green Avenue, Vikas Nagar ,New Delhi from 11a.m. to 3p.m. with the help of Bhagwan Dass Chauhan( President, Block- E, Vikas Nagar). In this Camp, 203 O.P.Ds were screened and required medicines were also given to the needy patients.

Quiz Competition for Immunization & Nutrition at Uttam Nagar (15- 12-2010)

A Quiz competition was organized on nutrition and immunization on 15th December 2010 at Ideal Radiant Public School in Shiv Vihar in Uttam Nagar from 11:30a.m to 2p.m. In this Quiz competition, 55 Ladies participated and 25 simple questions were asked. 1st prize was given to Mrs.Sarita who scored 15/25, 2nd to Neelam Rai who scored 12/25 and 3rd to Mirra who scored 9/25 marks. Consolation Prizes were also distributed to those who gave answers to more than 2 Question. This was the first ever event organized by any NGO in this area.

Health Camp At Uttam Nagar (11-12-2010)

A Camp was organized on 11th December 2010 at Shiv Vihar in Uttam Nagar from 10a.m to 2p.m. Two doctors provided their services to 136 patients. This Camp was organized to search for the possible cancer patients and for further detection. Cards were issued to the patients and medicines were dispensed to them. Mrs.Sarita Pathak helped us in organizing the Camp. AIDS Awareness Camp At Uttam Nagar (09-12-2010):

AIDS Awareness Camp was organized on 9th December 2010 in Shiv Vihar in Uttam Nagar from 10a.m to 2p.m. 18 Ladies participated in the Camp. In this Camp people were made aware regarding the prevention from AIDS. This was the first activity in this area. So people appreciated this activity carried out by SVCT. Mrs.Sarita Pathak helped in this event.

Health Camp At Dwarka(04-12-2010)

A Camp was organized on 4th December 2010 in Dada Dev Mandir in Palam Village from 10a.m to 2p.m. Two doctors from E.S.I and CIVIL Hospital (Gurgaon) offered services voluntarily to 110 patients. This Camp was organised to see any suspected case of Cancer. Medicines were also given to them. An exhibition on Anti Tobacco were placed which were appreciated by the people. Mr.Pokker Mal Tanwar & Mr. Chander Bhan Solanki , President Mandir Committee appreciated the effort.

Cancer Camp (28-11-2010)

A Camp was organized in collaboration with MKS( ROKO Cancer) Charitable Trust,with the help of DIG Mr.G.J.Singh at GCCRPF Camp at Jhadhoda Kalan on 28th Nov. 2010 from 10.00am to 5.00 pm. A team of Doctors, technicians, nursing staff screened 71 suspected patients.

A complete Mobile Cancer Van with in fitted Potable Mammography X- Ray machine brought by ROKO in which 27 Mammography was done. Dr.Astha from SVCT gave some useful information regarding Breast Self Examination, amongst participant also.

Health Camp At Palam Extension (20-11-2010)

A Camp was organized at Dr. Ambedkar Kunj at Palam Extension , in Which Dr. Naveen Tyagi of ESI Hospital & Dr. Abhilash from Civil Hospital, Gurgaon offererd their services Voluntarily. They screened 117 OPD patients. Mr.Pokker Mal Tanwar,Mr.Sultan Singh Tanwar, and Mr Rajender Singh helped the Camp to make it a success. A small and informatics exhibition on Tobacco was also placed. People of the surrounding area were happy to see the Camp and requested SVCT to hold such Camps in future also. Mrs.Shakti Rani Trustee assured them to hold Camp in future too.

Health Camp At J.J.Colony, Dwarka(18-11-2010)

A Camp was organized on 18 November 2010 in J.J. Colony (Sector- 7) in Dwarka from 10a.m to 2p.m. One doctor (Dr.Naveen Tyagi) from E.S.I hospital & (Dr.Abhilash ) from Civil Hospital Gurgaon offered services to 188 patients. Mr. Bijender Singh and Mr. Chiranjee Lal helped this Camp to success. Mr. Daya Prasad who is a MCD worker helped in this Camp.. Cards were issued to the patients and medicines were distributed to them. People were very happy by this activity, done by SVCT.


Cancer Camp At Udham Singh Park, Wazirpur(27-10-2010)


A Camp was organized in collaboration with MKS ROKO Cancer Charitable Trust, at Udam Singh Park, Wazirpur Industrial Area on 27th Oct. 2010 from 10.00am to 5.00 pm. A team of Doctors, technicians, nursing staff screened 66 suspected patients. A complete Mobile Cancer Van with a Potable Mammography X-Ray machine brought by ROKO in which 24 Mammography was done. Detailed Reports were given at the Camp side. Similar OPD for general public was also arranged by SVCT. A doctor (Dr. Naveen Tyagi) of ESI Hospital offered his Services voluntarily where 175 OPD patients were screened and all patients were given required medicines. On this occasion some posters were also displayed and leaflets regarding Tobacco and Breast Cancer were distributed amongst the patients and general public. People were very happy and appreciated this arrangement done by SVCT. Mr.Ram Kumar Pradhan (Jhuggi cluster) gave special thanks for organizing the activity.

Cancer Camp At Wazirpur (20-10-2010)

A Camp was organized in collaboration with Indian Cancer Society (Regd) at Udam Singh Park, Wazirpur Industrial Area on 20th Oct.2010 from 2.00pm to 6.00 pm. A team of Doctors including 1 Male, 1 Female, technicians and nursing staff. They screened 41 patients by the team of Doctors of Indian Cancer Society (Regd.) which included blood samples for investigation. Investigation Report in detail will be given to the patients after 2 weeks. We arranged some medicines for general O.P.D and required items from local market and hold the Camp. Dr (Mrs.) Vandana Mehta took initiative and screened 125 OPD (54 female, 65 male & 6 children). A drive against Tobacco was also launched; hand bills and posters were displayed and distributed amongst the general public.
